Client Background
Tor Sports was founded in April 2020, when its owner, Will Morgan, decided he had had enough of wearing the same template kit as other clubs in local leagues and wanted to try something different. Whilst furloughed, Will began contacting factories and designers around the world to try to create a custom kit for his own club, Rogerstone AFC. Once the kit was revealed on social media, the club was inundated with requests on where to purchase the shirt. A website was quickly put together and the rest is history. To date, Rogerstone AFC have sold several thousand of their shirts. Once the kit took to the field, opposition clubs began querying the origin of the kit and Tor Sports was born.
Project Brief:
Tor Sports have a wide selection of new kits having been created for the 25/26 season for clubs across Wales, and beyond. In order to maximise the opportunities and partnerships they have across football, they commissioned FSF to produce social first video and still images with a range of clubs.
Creative Approach:
Content Creation:
- Each club has its own unique story and characters, so we worked with Tor Sports to find the right characters and element of each club’s story to build the content around.
- Each shoot took place at the home ground of each club in order to ensure that the content represents the club and it’s culture.
- Combining interviews, match footage, archive images and slow motion kit reveals we have created a suite of content for each club to help maximise each opportunity for Tor Sport.
- Using a gritty style in line with Tor Sports brand we have maintained a constant style across much of the content, whilst also giving each club unique elements that reflect their own brand.
Strategic Impact:
- This suite of content is being used across social media to showcase Tor Sports, but also gives each club content that reflects their brand, club, identity and fan base – ensuring that all parties get value from the content.
