Client Background:
Eurekas are an indie band from Newport with a great following.
Project Brief:
In order to launch their latest single the band required a low cost, but engaging music video. They had the idea of recording them performing the track at half speed and then speeding it up in the edit to get an interesting effect.
Creative Approach:
In order to deliver an engaging and eye catching music video for their idea we worked on:
- Ensuring that we had enough energy in the band performance so that it was visible in the sped up footage.
- Created a variety of different scenarios with the lead singer on this track, Jack, moving to create dynamism in the video.
- We chose the most visually interesting practice space to film the band in, and filled it with coloured flashing lights to add ore energy and dynamism.
- We captured footage of each band member performing to give us plenty of coverage.
- And, we wanted to test out your DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for more than just capturing video blog style content, and so used this and tested its capabilities in low light, coloured light and on the move.
Strategic Impact:
- The band love the video and it’s been really well received.
- The track has been played on BBC Radio Wales and other national stations, and this video supports those plays and provides new listeners with an eye catching video to further engage them.
- The energy in the video is helping the band to build their presence online.
