Client Background:
Since 2007, Bambuser have been pushing the boundaries of technology to become the leading force in virtual commerce. Over 15 years later, they’re not just pioneers in video commerce technology but also leaders in transforming the commerce landscape. In 2019, they revolutionised live streaming by making it shoppable, creating a new era of virtual retail. Their platform has powered thousands of events worldwide—from retail showcases and real-time news to drone shots, product launches, immersive virtual-reality shows, and shoppable catwalks. They continue to innovate, offering top-tier solutions to their global customers. Bambuser is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and publicly traded on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market (BUSER).
Project Brief:
Focus Shift Films was commissioned to capture a Masterclass talk on the L’Oreal stand at Viva Tech 2025. The Masterclass involved Bambuser’s President of Global Enterprise, Louise Blomqvist, talking with Cedric Tabapsi, Head of Global Digital Products at L’Oreal Beauty Tech. The Masterclass took place for a small crowd at a very busy event, and used a presentation on screen to showcase the product, content, stats and other information.
Creative Approach:
Shoot Set Up:
- In order to capture the interview in the most agile and practical manner we used our DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera, shooting in 4k, and our Rode radio mics. This kit was not only small and easy to set up, but also ensured that we were able to make use of the limited space on the stand.
- By framing the Masterclass with both subjects either side of the big screen, but angled towards each other we ensured that we captured a wide shot that could we could then punch into if required, and the final video could be edited with the presentation layered over the top if required.
Strategic Impact:
- Successfully told the story of the two businesses working together
- Put personalities at the forefront of the content, rather than faceless corporations
- Content created that could instigate conversations and peak the interest of potential new customers
