Client Background
Futsal Club Cardiff are the reigning FAW Futsal League National champions and represented Wales in the 2025/26 UEFA Futsal Champions League! They’re Wales most successful futsal side and launching a brand new women’s team soon!
Project Brief:
Futsal Club Cardiff wanted to showcase their sport to new audiences and share their journey in the UEFA Champions League in order to bring new supporters to the sport, find more support from sponsors and brands, all with the view of not just growing their own club – but growing their sport in Wales.
Creative Approach:
- We worked with Futsal Club Cardiff to devise an idea on how to bring to life their UEFA Champions League adventure without the cost of taking a film crew with them to Bosnia. We advised them on how their team could create their own social first content whilst on their travels, and then we were able to access the games via the YouTube channel of the host team.
- With the above captured – we then headed down to Cardiff House of Sport to capture the interviews and some b roll footage at a training session.
- With the video intended to explain the sport to anyone unfamiliar, we ensured that the promo video included explanations of the sport, the UEFA Champions League competition and outlined the nature of the game as clearly as possible.
- A split screen style to the edit allowed us to showcase the game whilst also seeing the passion in the faces of the interviewees.
